Art means different things to different people.
For some, it is comfort. For others, it is a memory frozen in time. And sometimes it is simply something that makes people smile after a long day. Lupcottart brings all of those feelings together through personal digital artwork that feels thoughtful, colourful and full of character.
Run by artist Lauren Upcott, Lupcottart grew from a lifelong love of creativity.
Lauren studied different forms of art over the years, including photography, print making, special effects makeup and life drawing. In 2025, digital art became the next step when she started creating on Procreate using her iPad. Since then, her work has focused on creating pieces that bring happiness, laughter, nostalgia and comfort to people in a personal way.
Lauren explained the inspiration behind the business by saying to Rank Bolt: “Lupcottart was inspired by my desire to create something simple, meaningful, and personal to me. I have loved art since I was a little girl, and since I started drawing on my iPad in 2025, it has given my mental health such a huge boost. My work is created to inspire people, whether that’s through remembering a loved one who has passed away or creating a portrait that reminds someone of who they are.”

From memorial portraits to business cartoon portraits and all about me cartoon designs, Lupcottart creates artwork that feels personal from start to finish. And unlike that dusty framed print sitting in the corner of many homes, these pieces actually mean something to the people who receive them.
Every piece feels personal
One of the biggest reasons people connect with Lupcottart is because the artwork is created with real people and real stories in mind. These are not generic prints made to fill wall space. Each design is tailored to the individual, whether it is a memorial portrait for a loved one, a cartoon business design or a fun personal piece filled with memories and favourite things.

There is something comforting about receiving art that reflects who someone truly is. It can remind people of family, friendships, milestones or moments they never want to forget. Lauren’s work focuses heavily on emotion and connection, which is part of what makes it stand out.
Lauren told Rank Bolt, “Life can be challenging and gloomy at times, I want my art to be perceived as a positive burst of colour on a print to bring the person many different forms of emotion and laughter. I love making my work personal and makes it specifically for someone who wants a lifelong gift to give to someone for their homes.”
That personal touch matters. Anyone can order something mass produced online, but there is a clear difference when an artist takes the time to create something specifically for one person. The artwork feels warmer, more thoughtful and more memorable. It becomes part of the home rather than just another decoration.

And there is also something quite lovely about giving someone a gift that makes them laugh and cry at the same time. Not many mugs or candles can manage that.
The artwork comes from genuine passion
There is a noticeable difference between art created because someone enjoys it and art created simply to sell. Lupcottart feels genuine because it is built around Lauren’s lifelong love of creativity and self expression.
Before starting the business, Lauren spent years exploring different artistic skills and qualifications. Photography, print making, special effects makeup and life drawing all helped shape the creative style seen in her work today. That mix of experience adds character to the finished designs and helps them feel unique.

Since moving into digital art in 2025, Lauren has used Procreate to create illustrations that feel bright, calming and nostalgic. Some designs are funny, some are emotional and some simply capture small details that people hold close to their hearts.
There is honesty behind the work too. Lauren openly shared how art positively impacted mental health and became an important creative outlet. That kind of openness naturally comes through in the final pieces. They do not feel rushed or artificial. They feel carefully made by someone who genuinely enjoys creating something meaningful for others.
Buying from independent artists like Lupcottart also means supporting a real person and their passion rather than a giant company pumping out the same designs by the thousand. There is something refreshing about that. Especially these days when half the internet seems to be selling identical beige wall prints with motivational quotes nobody asked for.

The option to choose digital or physical prints also gives customers flexibility depending on what they need. Some may want a framed keepsake ready for display, while others may prefer a digital version they can print themselves or keep forever online.
The future of Lupcottart feels exciting
Another reason to support Lupcottart now is because the business is continuing to grow and evolve. Lauren has clear goals for the future and wants to bring the artwork to a much bigger audience while still keeping the personal feel that makes it special.
Speaking about future plans, Lauren said, “I would love my prints to reach a bigger community and even start selling certain themed prints at card markets or craft fairs. I would love my work to be collaborated with different companies to be able to design different cartoon versions of people for posters, story books or different campaigns.”

That ambition shows there is real care behind the business. The aim is not simply to sell prints online. It is about creating art that connects with people in different ways and reaches communities through events, collaborations and creative projects.
There is also plenty of room for the business to grow into exciting new areas. Cartoon portraits for businesses, posters, campaigns and story books all fit naturally with Lauren’s style. The artwork already carries personality and emotion, which makes it well suited for projects that need warmth and character.
Supporting smaller creative businesses during this stage is important because it helps artists continue building something meaningful. Every order contributes towards future designs, new opportunities and more artwork being shared with people who connect with it.

Lupcottart offers artwork that feels personal, thoughtful and full of heart. Whether someone is looking for a memorial portrait, a funny cartoon gift or something nostalgic for the home, the work is designed to make people feel something genuine.
